Long before the Europeans and what is today known as the western civilization came to West Africa; the Ekoi (Ejagham) people in present-day Nigeria had developed a unique form of ideographic form of communication known as Nsibidi. But soon lost it to time and ignorance.

Many years later the spirit of Nsibidi found Prince Mgbe in a museum in England. His father, a king in Ekoi settlement had sent him to study archaeology in a University in London. He was in the university museum admiring an Ejagham Ekoi crest mask sculpture which was originally stolen from his hometown when the sculpture magically open his eyes and blood - tears started streaming out. The young Prince screamed, shouted and ran out. That was the beginning of his torment.

Sometimes, Nsibidi ancient symbol will magically appear on the wall, his bed and even on his writing material and quickly disappears. Most times in classroom, a dragon will appear to him spiting fire and he screamed only to discover others staring at him in shock. Most people thought he was crazy.

When the horror became unbearable, the young Prince returned home and the King; his father consulted all the priests who claimed Nsibidi has chosen another messenger in his son.
